More play time at the beach

My first video on the blog! This is a little glimpse into our lives at the beach. At the end of the video Cooper and I jump the wave together, its quite adorable!

Next time I have to blog me in a suit, just so you think I work! :)

Clippers vs. Cavaliers

Thanks to Chris's girlfriend Alli, we scored some awesome seats in the VIP booth!

This is Ryan and his really good friend also named Ryan Florence. They met on the baseball team at University of Utah. When Ryan was done playing football at the U, he decided to try out for baseball. Seriously who never plays baseball in there life and then gets the chance to play College Baseball!
Florence flew in from Denver for the weekend. It was nice to get to hang out with him and Ryan got to hang out with his friend that he barely gets to see anymore.

Just hanging out with Chris

This is Ryan's brother Chris hanging out with Cooper.

We were all just hanging out one day. Notice Ryans face in the backgroud (see I have a Max too :) )

Our Backyard

So this is our backyard here in Southern Cali!!! There is a great organization down here called huntingtondogbeach.org that created this "dog beach." It is located in Huntington Beach, where Ryan lives, and it is about a mile long where you can bring your dogs with no leash. It's great because there are tons of other dogs and you get to see the most unique, beautiful dogs! However, Cooper is not very social with the other dogs when you have a tennis ball and the Chuck it. The Chuck It is the best thing invented, it is basically a stick that you attach the tennis ball to and it allows the ball to go a greater distance than i would be able to throw it on my own.

In the pic above, there is Charlie and Zac. These two are my friend Katherine's dogs, she lives in LA and occasionally she will come down and hang out with us!
This is one if my favorites. Cooper is obsessed with the tennis ball. You throw it, he gets it and brings it back, drops it down and then bam, is ready to go again! He is relentless and there is no way to stop him. If you try and take a break then he will pick up the ball again and sett it down closer to you then the first time. Then if that doesn't work, he will keep doing over and over untill you really have no choice. One day I took him to the beach all day because I wanted to lay out. Long story short I spent four hours play catch with him. So in this picture I hid the ball and he is frantically looking for it!
I honestly do not know who loves this activity more! We take him down to the beach for Cooper because he LOVES it and he gets a lot of exercise but honestly I wonder if I enjoy it more! I feel really fortunate to have Cooper to take to the beach because it allows me to really soak it up how lucky I am to live here and to really appreciate the beach!
You can see a mere glimse at the Chuck it in action!
Katherine and I were just messing around, demonstrating some Bikram yoga on the beach.

Our Engagement

Ok this is my first blog thanks to Holly, so bear with me. WoW! I was speechless and really caught of guard. I always knew that I would marry Ryan and we had talked about it occasionally but I was not expecting it so soon. During the first couple months that we started dating we took a snowboarding trip to Mammoth Mountain, CA. I remember sitting around the table eating and he just stared at me. I was like what and he responded, "I am going to marry you some day." I felt the same way.
ok so now to the point- this is how it happened. We were in Hawaii on the Big Island at Kona with his family. One morning we woke up and he took me to this beach with Tide pools. We spotted a lot of crabs and then I noticed this really pretty shell. I was scared to pick it up because I thought a crab was in it so I told Ryan to pick it up. He wanted me to pick it up so I slowly pushed it over and I saw my name written in the shell. I then picked it up, now knowing that I was silly for thinking there was a crab in it, and inside the shell he wrote "Will you marry me Azurde?" I looked up and he was on one knee with a really pretty ring and said "Azurde Loraine Harris will you marry me?" of course i said Yes and unfortunately i just kept laughing a lot due to my nervous laugh and the fact that i was so blown away.

I was just really excited!

And this is our child, Cooper. Ryan had him before I met him. The first time Ryan and I hung out we took Cooper to the dog beach and I fell in love with him. I cannot express how adorable he is and how human-like he is.
